“Lime market prices rebounded in April and May,” says Peter Bouman of Fruit Market International (FMI) in the Netherlands. “But they’re back on a lower level. There are currently more than enough volumes coming in from Brazil. The recent relatively worse weather in southern Europe didn’t help either.”

“Lemons are transitioning to overseas fruit. The Spanish Verna lemon season should be over by late June, and the market’s gradually switching to South Africa and Argentina. Overseas lemon prices are reasonable for the start of the season,” Peter concludes.
